Most group employer disability plans and many individual private policies now have provisions for reducing your disability insurance benefit by the amount your receive from Social Security Disability, worker’s compensation, and any “Other Income.” You have to consult your disability plan or policy to know what they consider Other Income to be, and whether these reductions (called “offsets”) may be taken from your monthly disability payment or LTD check.
